Insplorion at Sahlgrenska Science Park are on a succesful journey. The nanotechnology company has recently made the first sales of their new instrument to the University of Wisconsin in USA. An important customer reference!
We presented the Insplorion Acoulyte to Professor Joel Pedersen’s laboratory in early December and after an initial demo and training we left the instrument there for two weeks. The trial was successful, which has now resulted in this important first sale, “says Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO of Insplorion.
Insplorion are glad that it is the Pedersen lab at UW-Madison, that purchased the first Acoulyte as their research is of really high quality. Combining nanoplasmonic measuring with QCM-D enable to simultaneously measure dry (optical) and wet (acoustic) mass of protein and polymer films on the same surface and obtain information about water and molecular conformation. The instrument can, for example, help to understand the behavior of prions in the environment and the interaction of polymers with modeling cell surfaces.
