Successful start for the HealthTech Nordic Investor Forum

26 October, 2017

When the HealthTech Nordic Investor Forum 2017 took place in Göteborg on 25 October, 15 European venture investors and 14 selected startups in digital health participated. The forum enabled important discussions between investors and some of the most promising Nordic startup companies in healthtech.

In addition to bringing together startups with investors, the purpose of the day was to convey knowledge and insight into the emerging digital health sector and its intersections with healthcare, pharma, medtech and the IT sector

There was a very large interest in participating. This shows that the Nordic Critical Mass Model works, “says Carl-Peter Mattsson, Business Advisor, responsible for Investor relations and capital issues at Sahlgrenska Science Park, and initiator of the event.

The HealthTech Nordic network have 100 participating companies, making it the largest community in the Nordic region in digital health.

Through our companies we can achieve better health and higher cost-efficiency. As far as I understand, after many international meetings, this gathering is unique, says Marianne Larsson, Innovation Director of Innovation Skåne and project manager – and also one of the founders of – HealthTech Nordic.

Collaborating partners in HealthTech Nordic are: Innovation Skåne, COBIS (Copenhagen BioScience Park), Invest in Skåne, Norway Health Tech, Sahlgrenska Science Park and Smile Incubator.

HealthTech Nordic Investor Forum was organized by Sahlgrenska Science Park in the framework of the HealthTech Nordic cooperation. The event is partly financed by the Interreg-Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, the European Regional Development Fund.
