University of Helsinki invest in system from Insplorion

13 April, 2016

Insplorion has sold a XNano system to the Institution of Chemistry at the University of Helsinki. One researcher from the University of Helsinki recently conducted tests with the product in the laboratory at Sahlgrenska Science Park. Significant!

“This is great! It is the second instrument sales where the customer is not from our founding group’s network, which many of the earlier sales were, “says Patrik Bjöörn, sales manager at Insplorion AB.

“We are very pleased to have full access to Insplorions’ NPS technology in our own laboratory. We are confident that it will be an important tool in our studies of how ionic liquids affect cell membranes, which are related to their toxicity, “says Susanne Wiedmer, associate professor of chemistry at the University of Helsinki.

The first contact with Susanne Wiedmer’s group was taken in late 2014 in connection with one of Insplorions campaigns directed at researchers in biomolecular interactions. In the autumn of 2015 test measurements were carried out with Insplorion’s XNano systems in place in Helsinki, and at the end of March there were further testing done by Dr. Joanna Witos, a scientist within Susanne’s group in Insplorions laboratory at Sahlgrenska Science Park.
